Holidays are coming!

I'm so excited for the holidays! People are starting to decorate and putting up their lights and trees! Husband and I started by putting up our lights outside and little decorations here and there. For me it feels way to early, but down here in the U.S it's tradition to start the decorating soon after Thanksgiving, which is how my husband grew up so I couldn't say no! When I was little we would go pick our tree a few weeks into December, but who could complain about a few more weeks of holiday cheer?

Weekend

Hope you all had  a wonderful long weekend! Filled with family, good food and good friends. I've eaten so much food over the past few days, I'm feeling fat and sassy. Enjoying a nice peaceful Sunday around the house and perhaps venturing out later for some Sunday-Funday activities (post thanksgiving drinks and football with the guys, maybe).

Cabin Fever

 

As we were driving home from visiting family in Pinehurst this week, the gorgeous colored leaves and pine trees made me want a little cottage in the middle of nowhere to enjoy cold nights by a fireplace and quaint middle-of-the-woods relaxing silence. One that I imagine would look, tiny, cute and rustic on the outside, but cozy, casual and light on the inside.
